In my previous post, I've established how I will be reviewing the cakes & baked goods from Walmart as I will be ranking each and one of them (see the previous post on how I will be scoring each categories). With that already in place, let's get to the first baked goods, the Bakery Strawberry Shortcake.
I have only recently been buying sweets from the bakery section at Walmart. This is actually already my second time having "The Bakery Strawberry Shortcake" this past month which is probably a hint that this will be one of the top cakes on my list.

Visualization (up to 20 points) - Let's start with the visualization first. The looks of the Strawberry Shortcake is rather simple and uniform. It's simply a rectangular box with layers of cream, sweetened strawberry, and cake. There's no decorations on the cake and only consist of 3 colors - white (cream), red (strawberry), and yellow (cake). This makes it a boring looking cake and therefore I'm going to give it a score of 12/20.
Taste (up to 30 points) - Although the visualization was rather simple, I actually liked the taste of the cake. The cream and the strawberry is rather sweet but the cake neutralizes the sweetness which makes it an enjoyable experience. You can enjoy different taste with the layers of the cake. It's actually a great simple cake and that's probably why I bought it for the second time in a month time. I'm giving this a 26/30 which is rather high. I'll be buying this in the future on a discount (more on this later).
Texture (up to 20 points) - I have mixed feelings about this category. The cream was smooth, the cake was moist, and the strawberry jam had a sticky texture to it. It did have various textures to it but it was uniform along the cake. I think if it had some nuts on top or some fruits, it would give additional texture (and even better taste and visualization) to the cake. Maybe that's something you can add to it. That's why I'm only giving it a 15/20.
Extra Feature (up to 10 points) - This is probably the lowest score I'm giving out of all the categories since there wasn't anything special or unique about this cake. 4/10.
Price (up to 15 points) - The cost of this cake was $9.98 (on the date purchased) which is rather decent for the size of the cake compared to other bakeries and cake shops. The only difference is the unappealing visualization which makes the cake not a great cake for special occasions. However, I believe there are other baked goods that are slightly cheaper and therefore I'm giving it a 8/15. I would like to say that I bought this cake on a discount (under $3) which made this purchase a worthwhile purchase.
Biased Points (up to 5 points) - I'm actually not a strawberry type of a person (nor was I a sweets person just few years ago). I actually didn't think I would like this cake and did not have high expectations for this. Surprisingly though, it has been one of my favorite cakes at Walmart. Since it has made me like something that I didn't enjoy previously, I'm giving it a 5/5!
Now that we have the points for each category, where does this rank in my all time list of Walmart Cakes & Baked Goods? Well, since this is the first one, it'll be ranked #1. We'll just have to wait for more reviews.

I definitely recommend this cake if you can get it on a discount which will obviously boost the price points from 8 to possibly 15 as I believe the discounted price would make the cake a worthwhile purchase and experience.
